Cause
Recreated the Essbase security file (essbase.sec). This causes the compression level to be reset to "No Compression".
Solution
The database will need to be restored from back-up and the compression level reset to BitMap Compression. This can be done in Essbase Administration Services. Right-click on the database name, Edit->Properties->Storage. After restoring the files from backup, force a dense restructure.
If the backup is an export of the database, do the following:
1. Clear all data from the database.
2. Reset the Compression Level to BitMap Compression.
3. Stop and start the application to ensure the new setting takes affect.
4. Load the exported file.
